Safety Concern: Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
Locations: These salad products were distributed in Iowa, Ohio, and Pennsylvania and sold in retail supermarkets.
Solution: Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume the products and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
River Ranch Fresh Foods, LLC of Salinas, CA is initiating a voluntary recall of 2,154 cases of various bagged salad products due to the potential of being contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes following a routine random test conducted by the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
